Just realized a lot of people jumping into crypto still don't really understand what PNL means, and honestly it's kind of crucial if you want to actually know what's happening with your trades.

So PNL stands for Profit and Loss, and there are basically two types you need to know about. First there's unrealized PNL, which is the money you could make (or lose) on a trade that's still open. Say you grabbed some ETH at 2,000 and it's now sitting at 2,500 - that 500 gain is your unrealized profit. But here's the thing: it's not actually yours until you sell. That's where realized PNL comes in. Once you hit sell, boom, that profit or loss becomes real. If you close that ETH position at 2,500, your realized PNL is +500.

Then there's today's PNL, which is basically just adding up everything you've made or lost in a single day. Green numbers mean you're winning, red means you took some losses. The wild part is it updates constantly, so you can literally watch it change throughout the day.

Right now BTC is hovering around 66.48K with a 0.14% daily gain, ETH is at 2.02K up 1.40%, and BNB is at 610.40 up 0.18%. If you actually understand your PNL, you're not just watching random numbers go up and down - you're actually tracking your performance and can make smarter decisions about when to take profits or cut losses.

A lot of people think understanding PNL is just about seeing if you're up or down for the day, but it's way more than that. It teaches you discipline. It shows you patterns in your trading. It helps you figure out what's actually working and what isn't.

Have you been checking your PNL regularly? Because if you're not tracking it properly, you're basically flying blind. Drop your thoughts in the comments.
