According to a report by Jinse Finance on March 30, local time on Sunday, Jim Himes, the Democratic chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, accused Donald Trump of making “completely false” statements regarding negotiations with Iran amid market turmoil and ongoing conflicts. “Last Sunday, he realized that ‘the market is experiencing a serious financial crisis,’ so he fabricated that statement,” Himes said during an interview on the program. Himes added, “The Iranians now realize they have the upper hand. Gas prices have risen by more than $1 per gallon. They realize, ‘Wow, we hold a huge bargaining chip.’” (CBS)
