Zhang Xuefeng's sudden passing (March 24, 2026, from sudden cardiac death in Suzhou, at the age of 41) struck like a thorn into the nerve center of Chinese-style education.

What he did his whole life was to serve as a "realism navigator" for children from ordinary families in the gaps of Chinese-style education.

His success was essentially a mirror and amplifier of Chinese-style educational anxiety. Now, at just 41 years old, he collapsed—also the greatest irony of Chinese-style education:

👉 Born from poverty, he turned his life around through education, grew wealthy from the education industry, and ultimately exhausted himself in the tide of educational anxiety.

May he rest in peace. We also hope that his passing will prompt more parents of this new era to pause and reflect: What is education ultimately for?

Is it to help people "survive better," or to help people truly "live like human beings"?
