Recently, scammers have been impersonating me to commit fraud, and they're really addicted to it!!!
It's probably because our group has a very active user base. Lately, I've discovered that scammers have been constantly targeting our group members for fraud.
First, let me be absolutely clear: ANY Telegram message that initiates contact with you is a scam, ANY Telegram message that initiates contact with you is a scam, ANY Telegram message that initiates contact with you is a scam.
Sometimes if you don't look carefully, it's actually hard to tell the difference. For example, once a guy had no ID set in his Telegram profile, and then he put my Telegram ID in his bio. When I saw it, I was completely confused—is this real? Am I the fake one, who am I? 😂
Later, after group members reminded me, I realized he wrote the ID in his bio. When you don't set your actual ID, it won't display (didn't know you could do that!)
Also, their tactics are basically all the same—they start with helpful language, pretending to help you solve a specific problem, gaining your trust, and then gradually guide you to download a fraudulent wallet or enter some airdrop link. Once you use it or click the link, you're basically done for.
I hope everyone in the group can carefully identify scams and not trust ANY unsolicited Telegram contacts.
