OpenAI releases GPT-5.4 model, supporting around 1 million context tokens and native computing capabilities

Gate News Report, March 6 — OpenAI officially released the GPT-5.4 model, which improves factual accuracy and operational efficiency by using fewer tokens and providing faster response times. In the ChatGPT application, GPT-5.4’s reasoning capabilities have been enhanced for deep web research, with better context retention during extended thinking. Users can now interrupt the model’s responses, add new instructions, or adjust the execution direction. The guiding feature was launched this week on Android and web platforms, with the iOS version coming soon. OpenAI developers stated that GPT-5.4 has native computer usage capabilities. Codex and API support up to 1 million context tokens, enabling optimal proxy coding for complex tasks, scalable tool search within larger ecosystems, and more efficient reasoning for long, tool-intensive workflows.
