Lake County seeking new tenants for commerce park after Kroger exit

Abstract generation in progress

Lake County is actively seeking new tenants for the Christopher C Ford Commerce Park after Kroger and trucking company Carroll Fulmer recently closed their facilities, leading to job losses. The county plans to reallocate $360,000 in economic incentives, originally for Kroger, to retrain affected employees through CareerSource. While the 350,000 sq. ft. Kroger facility with its specialized robotic machinery presents a challenge in finding a new occupant, the county remains optimistic about attracting manufacturing employers to the strategically located park.
