Smith made these comments during an interview with Scarlet Fu and Tim Stenovec before Trump’s national address.

She emphasized that it is clear Trump has prioritized crypto policies, noting that there are almost daily personnel working on this at the White House. She specifically mentioned that David Sacks and Patrick Witt are actively working on crypto regulations.

According to Smith, the Trump administration continues to take concrete steps in the crypto space. The fact that there are people working on these issues almost every day at the White House clearly demonstrates the administration’s approach. The active involvement of advisors handling crypto policies at the White House indicates that the process is being taken seriously.

Highlighting the “Genius Act” regulation previously signed by Trump, Smith also pointed out that the US financial regulatory agencies are conducting comprehensive work in the crypto field. She explained that through initiatives like “Project Crypto,” launched by the chairs of the SEC and CFTC, the goal is to establish clear rules for the sector using existing legal authorities.

Smith argued that Trump’s occasional lack of direct comments on cryptocurrencies should not be interpreted as a decrease in support for the sector. She reminded that many significant developments are happening simultaneously within the US and globally, and that the president’s busy schedule may prevent him from addressing every issue individually.
