CITIC Futures: Supply and demand remain tight, lithium carbonate surges before the holiday

Currently, the fundamentals of lithium carbonate are marginally weakening but still relatively strong, with the influence of macroeconomic sentiment decreasing. From January to February, both supply and demand faced partial plant maintenance and production cuts, but overall remain tightly balanced, and social inventories are expected to continue decreasing. However, at the same time, supply and demand are marginally weakening, which may impact market sentiment, but further observation is needed. At present, the demand-side production expectations for March are relatively good, and the supply side will also face a significant increase in imports. Before the resumption of production at the Jianshixia site, the market is expected to remain tightly balanced. However, as the Spring Festival approaches, it is advisable to stay cautious and consider buying after the holiday. In the short term, supply and demand are tightly balanced, and prices are expected to fluctuate within a range. (CITIC Futures)
