Fengfei Aviation today announced the 5-ton eVTOL-V5000 Sky Dragon, and completed conversion flight at the Bai Lian Lake low-altitude base. This is the world’s largest eVTOL. Currently, mainstream eVTOLs focus on a takeoff weight of 1.5-3 tons, carrying 4-6 passengers. The Sky Dragon increases the takeoff weight to the 5-ton level, with a passenger version capable of carrying 10 people, and a cargo version capable of transporting ton-level goods. Its application scenarios have expanded to intercity business travel, heavy-line logistics transportation, large-scale emergency rescue, and other fields. (Yicai)
