On February 21st, local time, U.S. President Trump posted on the social platform “Truth Social” that he will collaborate with Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry to send a “large hospital ship” to Greenland to provide medical services for many people there who are ill but not properly cared for.

Trump stated that the hospital ship “is already on its way.”

According to Xinhua News Agency citing AFP, in response to recent signals from the U.S. relaxing its tone on “forcefully taking Greenland,” Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen emphasized on the 14th that U.S. President Trump’s ambitions regarding Greenland “remain unchanged.”

Frederiksen said at the Munich Security Conference in Germany on February 14th, “Everyone keeps asking me” whether the dispute over Greenland has ended, “and I believe it has not.” In her view, Trump’s desire to seize Greenland “has not changed at all, and his attitude is very serious.”
