February 17, 2026 (the 16th day of the Spring Festival travel season, Lunar New Year’s Day, Tuesday), the total cross-regional population flow in society was 224 million person-trips, a month-on-month increase of 15.5% and a year-on-year increase of 9.4% compared to the same period in 2025. Among them, railway passenger volume was 6.049 million, a decrease of 12.7% month-on-month but an increase of 9.7% year-on-year; road transportation flow was 215 million person-trips, a month-on-month increase of 16.4% and a year-on-year increase of 9.2%; waterway passenger volume was 1.055 million, a month-on-month increase of 59% and a year-on-year increase of 41.8%; civil aviation passenger volume was 2.257 million, a month-on-month increase of 17.1% and a year-on-year increase of 10.6%.
