Beijing, February 21 (Reporter Ye Haoming, Wang Yuhao) — According to the Ministry of Transport, on February 20 (the 19th day of the Spring Festival travel period, the fourth day of the lunar new year), the total cross-regional passenger flow in the whole society reached 352.999 million trips, an increase of 12.3% compared to the same period in 2025 (February 1, the fourth day of the lunar new year), setting a new record.
Specifically, road transportation volume was 333.02 million trips, a 12.1% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Among them, non-commercial passenger trips on expressways and general national and provincial roads totaled 30.484 million, up 12.8% from 2025; commercial road passenger transport volume was 2.818 million, an increase of 5.4%.
Railway passenger volume was 15.372 million, up 14.9% from 2025; waterway passenger volume was 2.033 million, an increase of 38.3%; civil aviation passenger volume was 2.574 million, an increase of 8.2%.
