On February 19th local time, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko stated that there is no cooperation between Russia and NATO because NATO defines Russia as a “direct threat” in its documents. “And now they have added the word ‘long-term,’ which even considers the situation after the end of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, whether through military means or diplomatic channels,” Grushko added. Grushko pointed out that Russia has recorded that all NATO member countries are rearming. At the same time, “a certain role reallocation is happening within the NATO framework,” due to the United States shifting greater responsibility for European security to its European allies. However, Grushko also said that if necessary, Russia and NATO could engage in contact. (CCTV News)
