Infosys CEO Salil Parekh believes that AI tools will not replace engineers overnight, but rather coexist with the existing technology in large enterprises. He expects the Indian IT industry to thrive, leveraging AI services which he estimates to be a $300-400 billion market within the overall $1.5 trillion tech services market. Parekh also noted an improving business environment, especially in the US, and highlighted Infosys’s continued hiring of college graduates and active AI strategy focusing on client solutions and legacy modernization.
