Three U.S. officials revealed on February 11 local time that, as the U.S. military prepares for a possible attack on Iran, the Department of Defense has instructed the second carrier strike group to prepare for deployment to the Middle East. Former U.S. President Donald Trump previously stated that he was considering sending a second carrier strike group to the Middle East to prepare for military action if negotiations with Iran fail. One U.S. official said the deployment order could be issued within hours, but Trump has not yet officially given the order, and plans may change. Another official stated that the Department of Defense is preparing to deploy a carrier strike group within two weeks, likely departing from the U.S. East Coast. (CCTV News)
