Nissan, Honda revive collaboration talks after failed merger

Nissan and Honda have revived collaboration talks after failed merger negotiations from late 2024 and early 2025. Nissan CEO Ivan Espinosa described the discussions as “very constructive and very positive,” primarily focusing on collaboration in North America due to market challenges and tariffs. While specific details are scarce, the talks appear to have been well-received by Nissan investors, with the company’s stock rising over 13%.
