According to the National Bureau of Statistics, significant progress has been made in China’s security assurance during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.

The reporter learned that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, China’s comprehensive grain production capacity has continuously improved, with total grain output increasing from 1.37 trillion jin in 2021 to 1.43 trillion jin in 2025, ensuring that the Chinese people’s rice bowl remains firmly in their own hands. A diversified energy supply system has been established, with primary energy production increasing by an average of 5% annually. The resilience and security level of the industrial chain and supply chain have steadily improved, with manufacturing added value growing an average of 5.5% annually, and the domestication rate of equipment manufacturing continuously increasing. The domestic manufacturing share in the total supply of electrical machinery and transportation equipment has exceeded 95%. (Reporter Wang Yuxiao)
