IT Home, February 18 — Alphabet announced on Tuesday that its annual developer conference, Google I/O, will be held from May 19 to 20.

IT Home notes that Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai announced this date on the X platform. The conference will take place at the company’s headquarters in Mountain View, California, and will be live-streamed on the official conference website.

Google is expected to release updates to the Gemini model, other AI products, and possibly launch its smart glasses product.

In December last year, Google announced that it would launch its first AI glasses in 2026. With the success of Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses and other products, the smart glasses market has seen a significant surge.

EssilorLuxottica, the manufacturer of Ray-Ban, stated that Meta’s AI glasses sales more than doubled in 2025, exceeding 7 million pairs.

At the 2025 Google I/O conference, the company announced a partnership with eyewear brand Warby Parker to develop smart glasses.
