Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge's single-day vehicle flow during the Spring Festival exceeds 27,000 trips, setting a new record

According to the Guangdong Provincial Department of Transportation, on February 19th (the third day of the Lunar New Year), the bidirectional traffic flow on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge exceeded 27,000 vehicles, setting a new single-day record since the bridge’s opening and reaching a new high (the previous record was 26,600 vehicles on the fourth day of the Lunar New Year in 2025). During the first five days of the Spring Festival holiday this year (from the 28th day of the lunar month to the third day of the new year), the bridge’s traffic volume reached 104,600 vehicles, averaging about 21,000 vehicles per day, a 24.49% increase compared to the same period last year.

According to data from the Zhuhai Border Inspection Station at the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, from February 15th (the 28th day of the lunar month) to February 19th (the third day of the new year), the passenger flow through the Zhuhai port of entry on the bridge exceeded 602,000 entries and exits, and the vehicle flow exceeded 99,000, representing increases of 12% and 20%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. On February 19th alone, the port handled 172,000 passengers in a single day, setting a new record for the highest daily passenger volume since the port’s opening.

Border inspection data shows that since February 15th, the number of Hong Kong and Macau residents entering and exiting through the port has exceeded 372,000, and the number of single-plate Hong Kong and Macau vehicles has surpassed 74,000, remaining at a high level.
