According to iFintech, Hong Kong Gold Exchange Chairman Zhang Dexi announced at the Lunar New Year opening ceremony that the Hong Kong Gold Exchange has partnered with Alibaba (09988) subsidiary Yabo Technology (08279) to jointly develop an international precious metals trading platform and settlement system, as well as a digital commodities blockchain, including spot, futures, digital gold, B2C trading, clearing center OTC trading, and more, with unified risk management and regulatory oversight of all systems.
Zhang Dexi stated that over the past year, the Hong Kong Gold Exchange has optimized corporate governance, increased transparency, and actively opened up to closely collaborate with international financial institutions, gold merchants, and casting e-commerce companies. In recent months, they have met with more than 30 international gold companies to discuss cooperation opportunities or membership enrollment.
