Gelonghui February 16 — The Hong Kong Monetary Authority announced the credit card loan survey results for Q4 2025 today. The total amount of credit card receivables increased by 8.7% quarter-over-quarter to HKD 164.2 billion as of the end of December 2025, mainly driven by holiday spending and cardholders paying salary taxes. The overdue and rescheduled merger ratio was 0.40% at the end of December 2025, down from 0.45% at the end of the previous quarter. The quarterly charge-off rate for credit cards in Q4 2025 was 0.62%, compared to 0.64% in the previous quarter.
