State Administration for Market Regulation: 1510 international standards converted in 2025, with an overall international standard conversion rate of 88.9%
Today (the 5th), at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office, it was learned that standards serve as the “universal language” of the world and play a fundamental role in international trade and industrial cooperation. By 2025, the State Administration for Market Regulation will steadily promote the coordinated advancement of “bringing in” and “going out” of standards. In terms of “bringing in,” they will revise and issue the “Management Measures for the Adoption of International Standards,” emphasizing “precise adoption” and “efficient transformation,” to accelerate the conversion of international standards into domestic standards. By the end of 2025, China’s overall international standard conversion rate will reach 88.9%, with 1,510 international standards converted throughout the year. Among these, the conversion rate in fields such as culture and meteorology will reach 100%, and in fields like aerospace, building materials, and machinery, the conversion rate will exceed 90%. In terms of “going out,” by 2025, in fields such as new energy, traditional medicine, and brain-computer interfaces, China will lead the formulation and release of 285 international standards, a 26.7% increase year-over-year; in fields like biotechnology, artificial intelligence, and industrial networks, 505 international standard proposals will be submitted, a 15.8% increase. At the same time, 441 standards in foreign languages will be published in fields such as artificial intelligence and engineering machinery, and multiple standardization cooperation agreements will be signed with key countries, totaling 130 agreements with 75 countries and organizations, continuously expanding the “friend circle” of standardization cooperation.
