How one wrong decision cost the co-founder of Apple hundreds of billions of dollars. Ronald Wayne, one of the three founders of the company, decided to leave his position in 1976, selling his stake for a modest $800. Today, that same stake is valued at approximately $300 billion.

Wayne created the first Apple logo and wrote the manual for the Apple I — his contribution to the company's formation was significant. But fear of entrepreneurial risks and potential losses led him to step back from the project at the very beginning. His partners, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, continued and turned the startup into a technological empire.

Now, Ronald Wayne, who is 91 years old, lives on a modest pension and earns extra money by renting out his old apartment. His life story has become a vivid lesson not only for entrepreneurs but also for everyone faced with a choice between safety and ambition. Sometimes the riskiest move is to avoid risk altogether.
