Coinbase Global Investment Research Director David Duong warns that as quantum computing advances rapidly, the long-term security of Bitcoin faces structural risks, with about one-third of Bitcoins potentially vulnerable in future quantum attacks because their related wallet public keys have been exposed. He pointed out that the quantum threat has evolved from a theoretical issue to a real risk, with the core concern being signature security rather than mining efficiency. In May this year, BlackRock also explicitly listed quantum computing as a risk factor in its iShares Bitcoin Trust prospectus. (DL News)
