Deep潮 TechFlow News, January 6th, according to NewSIS, the Korean Financial Commission is actively considering the introduction of a "payment freeze" system, which can freeze accounts suspected of manipulating cryptocurrency asset prices in the early stages, preventing them from hiding or withdrawing unrealized gains.
This measure is similar to the stock price manipulation account freeze system introduced through amendments to the Capital Markets Act in April last year. During the Financial Commission's meeting in November last year, several members expressed support, believing that a similar mechanism should be incorporated into the second phase of the crypto asset legislation.
Financial authorities pointed out that crypto assets are particularly easy to transfer to personal wallets and hide. Currently, regulation can only prevent deposits and withdrawals from exchanges, but funds can still be transferred to financial institutions for withdrawal. The new measure will help quickly prevent criminal proceeds from being hidden, providing a safeguard for subsequent recovery.
