Living through the dot-com crash gives you pattern recognition, but don't mistake history for prophecy. The bubble mechanics look similar on the surface—hype, capital inflows, irrational exuberance—yet the underlying systems are fundamentally different. Crypto and blockchain operate on different rails entirely. People keep drawing straight lines to 2000, but the devil's in the details. Context matters way more than most realize.

History will repeat itself but not copy and paste, I agree with that. But the real situation is that most people start automatically comparing when they see a bubble, to save themselves the trouble of thinking. Anyway, whether it's dot-com or crypto, the ones who lose money in the end are always us spectators.

History is not copy and paste; I really can't understand it.

You're right, but can you be more specific? Which part of the system is different? Just saying "different" is a bit vague.

History repeating? Forget it, the details are what really matter. The logic from 2000 doesn't apply now.

History will repeat itself but not clone itself; this time it's truly different.
