Before the potential tokenization boom arrives, Ethereum is prioritizing enhancing privacy protections for institutional users and has assembled a dedicated team of 50 people to develop solutions. Foundation co-director Tomasz Stańczak emphasized that institutional privacy is "necessary," aligning with Vitalik Buterin's call for building more private, censorship-resistant DeFi (decentralized finance). This key initiative is part of a six-month roadmap that positions Ethereum alongside projects like Cardano's Midnight as key competitors and could challenge currently limited-use, privacy-focused blockchains such as Zcash.
