More than a decade ago, I entered the market and witnessed the ICO bubble, the DeFi wave, and the NFT frenzy. I also tasted the experiences of 312 and LUNA. My deepest impression is one sentence: playing new games with outdated strategies will only lead to market ruthless淘汰.

Do you remember the days of 2017? Any altcoin could double in value, a white paper and a website were enough to make retail investors follow wildly. The days of "just get on the train and make money" are gone forever.

**Market players have completely changed**

In the past, retail investors held the power; now institutional capital dominates everything. Hundreds of billions of dollars have flowed into Bitcoin spot ETFs. Hong Kong is not willing to be left behind, approving multiple virtual asset trading platforms and launching spot ETFs for Bitcoin and Ethereum. More importantly, the US government has opened retirement accounts to invest in cryptocurrencies—meaning long-term capital like pensions are now starting to allocate to Bitcoin.

Imagine the significance of this turning point: Bitcoin has transformed from a speculative asset into a legitimate asset allocation tool.

**Volatility is fading**

The most direct consequence of this structural change is that the era of wild surges and crashes is gradually coming to an end. The market is becoming more rational and stable. Stories of quick flips and sudden riches are unlikely to happen again.

312 Nabo, I went bankrupt directly, haha. Now, seeing institutions entering the market, the vibe is definitely different. The era of retail investors is truly over.

Damn, I bled heavily on the 312th, and now looking at this set of excuses again, I really don't know whether to cry or laugh.

Oh, you're so right. I was also in on the 312 wave, and I was completely stunned. Do you still think you can turn things around by copying others? Dream on. --- Institutional entry has indeed changed the game rules; we can never go back to the era of retail investors' frenzy. --- Hey, even pension funds are now buying Bitcoin in a dip. Are we still hoping to get rich overnight? That's hilarious. --- What does it mean when volatility diminishes... probably losing the chance to get rich overnight. --- Back in 2017, any coin could skyrocket. Now, it depends on the institutions' mood, and it feels like something's missing. --- To put it simply, the golden age of retail investors is really over. Now, it's all about who can keep up with the institutions' pace. --- From a speculative asset to a portfolio tool, it sounds glamorous but can be quite heartbreaking. Making quick money isn't that easy anymore.

Really, back in 2017, it was truly a different world... Now that institutions have entered, the game rules have completely changed, and it's almost impossible for retail investors to turn things around by luck.

Really, I was also overwhelmed during that 312 incident. Thinking about it now, I still feel scared. But on the other hand, after institutions entered the market, it’s not as crazy anymore. The chance to double your investment has decreased, but the risk of liquidation has also reduced. Is this trade good or not?

Bro, you're absolutely right. The golden age for retail investors has indeed passed. Anyone who still hopes to turn things around by luck now is probably going to lose.
