The official announcement just came that the US has officially launched the USDC stablecoin settlement solution. In simple terms, when banks and merchants reconcile with Visa, they can say goodbye to the long five-business-day wait, with weekends and holidays settled instantly. The first two banks have already completed the full process on the Solana blockchain, with plans to expand nationwide by 2026. Currently, the annualized settlement volume has reached $3.5 billion.

What does this mean for everyday users?
