Recently, people have been saying that crypto assets have not performed well this year. Let's look at the data to see what it says.

How exaggerated are the gains in tech stocks? Nvidia soared from 86 to 189, a 122% increase. Google climbed from 142 to 315, also a 122% increase. Tesla was even more impressive, jumping from 214 to 482, a 126% increase.

Even traditional giants haven't been idle. Apple rose from 169 to 272, earning a 61% return. Amazon increased from 161 to 232, a 44% gain. Microsoft went from 344 to 486, a 41% increase. Meta, at the beginning of the year at 480, is now at 664, with a relatively moderate increase of 38%.

The reality is, this year, traditional asset markets have outperformed the crypto space significantly. The logic of the US stock market is quite straightforward—following the performance of leading companies, with relatively simple and transparent buy-sell logic. The volatility and operational complexity in the crypto space are evident; to beat the market, one indeed needs stronger risk recognition capabilities.

Oh no, more data about harvesting retail investors. The US stock market is soaring so much, and I missed out on all of it. Truly amazing.

Oh my, once this data is out... these tech giants in the US stock market are really unstoppable. Honestly, the crypto world has been beaten down these past two years, but can you really beat the market just by having strong risk recognition? I doubt it. Are the people getting liquidated every day not good at risk recognition? It's just a game of probabilities. Are traditional assets really that stable? Don't be silly, today's leader could be abandoned tomorrow. It still depends on the individual. Many have become rich quickly in the crypto world, but they also tend to die faster.

The recent surge in US stocks is indeed impressive, but the crypto world isn't that bad either. It depends on how you choose. Wait, is there a problem with this data? Did Nvidia really only rise by 122%? Honestly, it's about choosing the right track. Don't blame the crypto market. I just want to know when it's our turn for altseason. Don't tell me these stories. Crypto is indeed risky, but opportunities are there too. If you're timid, just buy large-cap stocks.
