Since ETH Denver 2024, there's been solid momentum in rebuilding the DeFi interface layer—making it feel genuinely intuitive rather than clunky. Intent-based DeFi isn't just theory anymore; the transaction volume numbers back it up clearly.

What's compelling here is the shift in user experience design. Instead of forcing traders through multiple steps and jargon-heavy menus, the whole workflow gets compressed. You pick what you want to achieve, the protocol handles the execution. The lifetime trading metrics show this approach actually sticks with users.

This is probably what DeFi feels like when it matures—simple enough that you don't need a PhD in smart contracts to use it, yet powerful enough to execute complex trades. Less intimidating dashboard, more straightforward outcomes.

This is what I wanted to see. I finally don't have to look at that mess of menus anymore.

NGL, the intent-based system finally works now. The previous UI was really exhausting.
