I'm currently debating how to handle the $ASTER short position. Looking at the candlestick chart, the recent decline does seem a bit excessive, and a rebound is definitely expected in the short term—this is normal technical correction. But the question is—once the rebound occurs, should I follow the trend and close the position?

Honestly, from a long-term fundamental perspective, the prospects of this project are worrying. The team’s capabilities are limited, and the ecosystem applications lack any highlights. Calling it a trash coin is not an exaggeration. From this angle, my idea is simple—just wait for it to slowly go to zero, and hold the short position all along.

The problem lies right here. During the short-term rebound, the psychological pressure is very high. I’m afraid the rebound could be too strong, and the short position might get hit out. But if I close the position hastily just because I’m afraid of the rebound, I’d feel too regretful—after all, from a fundamental standpoint, this project really has no future.

What do you all think? Should I run at the early stage of the rebound, or grit my teeth and hold on?

A rebound is just that, a rebound. Technical fluctuations are very normal; the key is where you set your stop-loss order. If it's a really trash coin, the rebound won't go very high anyway. Don't be scared by short-term volatility. Build your mental resilience, bro. Either set a reasonable stop-loss and sleep peacefully, or just wait for it to go to zero. Overthinking wastes the most energy.

The rebound is here, just run with it, no need to fight yourself. Saying that going back to zero is easy, but when you're really hit hard, you'll understand the pain. The biggest enemy of short positions is the rebound. You need to pass the technical repair stage, don't wait until liquidation to regret. Junk coins are just junk coins, but even junk coins can rebound by 30%. Do you still want to follow the trend then? Surviving is the most important. Even if the fundamentals are poor, they can't stop short-term hot trading. Don't trust your judgment too much; risk management is the key. When taking a short position, be prepared to close at any time, or you'll eventually lose your composure.

The rebound is here, run now, don't wait. If your mindset breaks, making money is pointless. --- It's true that waiting for shitcoins to go to zero is a gambler's mentality. What if the rebound hits 20% and you get liquidated? What do you do? --- I think you should take profits in stages, don't clear everything at once. This way, you can lock in gains and avoid regret. --- Hey, I've looked into ASTER. It doesn't have much of an ecosystem, but in crypto, who can say for sure? Maybe it will pump someday. --- Don't overthink it. Set a stop-loss level. Once reached, get out. Greed is the biggest cause of death in this industry. --- Gritting your teeth? Bro, if the psychological pressure is this high, it means you can't handle it. If you need to run, just run. There's nothing shameful about it. --- A short-term rebound is a test for you. If you're scared, take half profits. Keep betting on the fundamentals with the rest. --- Honestly, hearing how conflicted you are, it’s a clear signal that you should probably take profits.

Bounce and run, don't be stubborn. When your mindset breaks down, it's more painful than losing money. --- All the rebounds of trash coins are just accumulation, wake up, buddy. --- Holding? Brother, are you trying to experience the feeling of liquidation? --- If the fundamentals are poor, you should have sold earlier. Why bother with this little rebound? --- Stop-loss won't make you lose money; it just helps you survive longer. --- Instead of betting on it going to zero, why not bet on the rebound breaking your mindset first? --- Listen to me, take profit at a 10% rebound, don't wait for it to recover. --- With this psychological quality, you're still playing short positions? Go get a mental assessment first. --- If the project has no prospects and you're still rambling here, it shows you don't want to cut losses at all. --- A big short-term rebound is a signal. If you need to run, run. Don't wait until you're forced to close your position.

Short positions being blown up by a rebound is more heartbreaking than not making that little profit. My advice is to set your stop-loss and not think too much about it. Honestly, to put it plainly, holding onto ASTER is like holding a hot potato. When it rebounds, it's only a matter of time before your mentality collapses. Since the fundamentals are so trash, there's no need to overthink it. When it rebounds to a key level, take half profits, and gamble the rest. This way, you'll feel more at ease. I've seen too many people stubbornly hold on, waiting for it to go to zero, only to get blown up by a rebound. In the end, they end up with false joy, which is really not worth it. Instead of waiting for it to go to zero, it's better to relieve the pressure early and make some profit.
