Hearing too many wealth myths, I actually feel that these stories don't quite stand up to scrutiny. Early entrants indeed made money, but that was more like a gift from history rather than replicable ability. I personally focus on thoroughly researching projects and am more interested in the true value of on-chain artifacts—profit and loss are secondary. The biggest test really lies in mindset.
