#数字资产市场动态 Lock-in in 2026! Ethereum's performance revolution, congestion issues are expected to be thoroughly solved

In the recently announced roadmap, the Glamsterdam fork will officially launch in 2026, marking a upgrade far beyond any in recent years. In simple terms, Ethereum aims to push its performance ceiling to new heights.

💥 Three core changes, completely different gameplay:

**Parallel Processing Revolution**
Currently, Ethereum transaction processing is like a single-lane queue, handling one transaction at a time in order. After the upgrade, ten lanes will run simultaneously, and TPS will leap forward. In other words—on-chain experience will finally be comparable to Web2 platforms, no longer feeling "response slow by half a beat."

**Gas Capacity Explosion**
Gas limit will increase from 60 million to 200 million, more than tripling. This means more complex DApp logic can fit into a single block, supporting larger-scale on-chain operations. DeFi protocols, NFT interactions, cross-chain bridges—these gas-intensive activities will finally have breathing room.

**Time Certainty**
The clear timeline for 2026 provides the entire ecosystem—developers, projects, capital—with a full year and a half to prepare. This is not vague language; it’s a tangible certainty that allows real planning.

🚀 Why is announcing this now especially important?

Dubai is starting to settle transactions in ETH, PayPal is integrating into the ecosystem, multiple countries are testing stablecoins… real-world demand is knocking on the door. Current performance simply cannot handle this wave of opportunity. This upgrade is the critical channel to "handle global traffic."

Once bottlenecks are released, Ethereum’s role will upgrade from a "programmable ledger" to a settlement infrastructure capable of supporting global business and financial activities. Valuation logic will also shift—from purely storytelling to focusing on actual carrying capacity.

The inflection point is right here—do you see this as a technological upgrade, or the beginning of a new opportunity?

2026 still feels far away. For now, gas fees are still high. Let's wait and see.

2026? Man, I'm already drained by gas fees now, and I have to wait two more years to catch my breath... But honestly, seeing the gas fee rise from 60 million to 200 million is satisfying to look at, but I'm more concerned about whether new big gas eaters will emerge by then, and we'll be back to square one.

2026 is too far away. The current gas fees can drive people crazy. Wait, is Glamsterdam really the name? Haha. Pushing the performance ceiling higher is a good thing, but whether it can really be implemented depends on the actual situation. Is PayPal's integration into the ecosystem reliable? It feels like I've heard about it many times. Running on ten lanes simultaneously—will the competition become even fiercer... Tripling the Gas capacity sounds great, and DeFi whales are about to start a new game. From storytelling to assessing carrying capacity, I agree with this logic, but data is needed to prove it. Waiting for a major upgrade might be unnecessary; better to buy the dip now since we have to wait a year and a half.

ngl, been burned by "2026 roadmaps" before... but the gas capacity thing actually hits different this time lmao. watched eth choke on its own success too many times, so maybe this isn't just copium talking 🤷

2026 is still too far away. The current congestion is almost deadly. If ETH flakes out again this time, I will completely unfollow. Gas fees tripling? That's nonsense. We've been talking about this for years and we're still stuck in the same place. Wait, did PayPal really integrate? Where did this news come from? ETH will have a chance only when performance is up to par. Right now, it's just virtual bloating. I don't believe it unless I see on-chain data moving. This roadmap is probably just another PPT project. Trust it, and you'll lose. If congestion could be solved early, it would have been done already. We wouldn't be waiting until 2026.

It's 2026 again, by then we'll all be old haha Promises and waiting again, I find it so annoying Really? Gas can still triple? What about my historical orders? Parallel processing sounds good, but it will take another year and a half... better to withdraw now This time it's extraordinary? Last time I heard the same thing, too That Dubai PayPal thing, feels like hype, brother By 2026, even the chrysanthemums will have withered, better to go all-in on other chains now
