🚨 Trust Wallet suffers serious incident – over $6 million "disappeared" in just a few minutes
According to on-chain investigator ZachXBT, hundreds of Trust Wallet users had their assets completely drained in a very short period, with total losses of at least $6 million.
⚠️ Concerns:
• Users did not sign any transactions, did not click on suspicious links
• Assets were transferred simultaneously at high speed, across Bitcoin, EVM, and Solana
• Signs indicate that private key/seed phrase may have been leaked
🧩 The incident coincided with the release of Trust Wallet's Browser Extension update.
Trust Wallet confirmed:
• The bug affects Trust Wallet Extension v2.68
• Users are advised to disable the extension immediately and upgrade to v2.69
• Mobile app users are not affected
📉 TWT dropped nearly 4% in 24h, trading around $0.8.
👉 Recommendations:
• If using Trust Wallet Extension → disable immediately & update
• Check your wallet, transfer assets to a secure wallet
• Limit storing large assets on browser extension wallets
