Going long on Ethereum, I have only one suggestion—just like me, place orders directly for options.

Set up your long positions in advance and fill the entire set. This is the key.

The opportunities in the crypto world seem endless. I went from a few hundred USD through options to over 8,000 USD now. The most important thing I learned during this process is: stay steady in normal times, operating casually with 1%, 2% gains, but when a big market move occurs, you must ride it all the way to the end without any hesitation.

At the moment the market breaks or surges, the volume is astronomical. Besides the orders pre-placed in advance, you basically won't get filled. Sometimes, even with pre-placed orders, you still can't get filled. That's the reality.

Right now, I am watching Ethereum. The price range of 2500 to 2600 has a heavy accumulation of long positions, and the sell orders around 3100 are also full. Whether this massive options settlement results in a sharp drop or a gradual decline will directly determine who profits and who loses.

If you get in, you profit. It's that simple.

A few hundred USD to over 8,000 USD? Man, the odds are even lower than winning the lottery. You must have survivor bias syndrome, right?

It just sounds like gambling, just a different fancy name, that's all.

It all sounds like survivor bias; stories from a few hundred U to 8,000 U happen every day, but no one mentions accounts that go bankrupt.

honestly the "just pre-order everything and you'll catch the move" speech reminds me of UST in May... yeah sure, if execution actually worked that way. statistically speaking most people's limit orders still get frontrun or the slippage is so brutal it defeats the whole thesis. not financial advice but the risk-adjusted returns here are way sketchier than the premium/discount ratio suggests

Starting to talk about success stories again, turning a few hundred USD into 8,000 USD sounds like a story. Wait, can you really pre-allocate a full set, and what about slippage?

A few hundred USD to 8,000 USD, this story is quite good, but on the other hand, who doesn't want a big explosion? The key is to come out alive.

Sounds good, but I still have to say—placing orders really depends on luck; network latency can wipe it out in an instant. I didn't dare to fully commit to options; I'm still a bit hesitant. Will ETH break through 2500 this time? It doesn't seem very likely. Honestly, going from a few hundred to 8000 sounds impressive, but what about during a pullback? That's not discussed. Winning once doesn't mean skill; consistent compound returns are the real challenge. Pre-placing full sets sounds simple, but actually doing it is another matter. As for options, I think I'll stick to small amounts and learn gradually.
