According to Gate.io News bot, as reported by Wu Shuo, Gitcoin founder Kevin Owocki announced that the core software development team of Grants Lab will officially shut down on May 31, 2025, and will also stop maintaining the Grants Stack product.

The reason for the shutdown is due to changes in the funding environment for Web3 public goods, coupled with the loss of key team members, which has led Grants Lab to currently be unable to find a sustainable profit path.

Gitcoin plans to shift its business focus to the streamlined Grants project operations and promises to provide severance support to affected employees.
