Nasdaq extends the transition deadline for BlackRock’s IBIT and ETHA to general-purpose ETFs through Q3 2026

Gate News, on April 8, the Nasdaq filed a rule change on April 9 to extend the timeline under which the BlackRock iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) and iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA) switch from specific listing requirements to the general listing standards, from the originally scheduled first quarter of 2026 to the third quarter of 2026, so that the issuer, iShares, has more time to complete the conversion. The rule change was submitted on March 31, 2026, and became effective immediately.
