BlockBeats news, on March 27, reported by the Times of Israel, a Tel Aviv court revealed on Thursday that an Israeli Air Force reservist is suspected of using confidential information to trade on Polymarket, profiting from last year’s war between Israel and Iran.
The defendant, a former Air Force major, was charged last month along with his accomplices with serious security offenses, as well as bribery and obstruction of justice. They are suspected of trading on the timing of the first airstrike of Israel’s 12-day war that began in June 2025. Authorities have not disclosed the identity of the suspects or the specific details of the trades. The case was initially protected by a court injunction, but on Thursday evening, after applications from several Hebrew media outlets, part of the injunction was lifted, allowing some case details to be made public, although the defendants’ names remain undisclosed.
The two earned a total of $162,663 after successfully predicting last June, and they agreed to split the money. Last month, prosecutors filed charges against the two in the Tel Aviv District Court and sought to detain them until the legal proceedings are concluded.
