Crypto Currency Operation by Chinese Police! They Claimed to be "Investment Masters"!

Police in Shanghai, China, successfully dismantled a cryptocurrency scam gang that operated fake trading platforms and defrauded their victims out of thousands of dollars. After an extensive investigation, Yangpu district police arrested 16 individuals connected to the fraud.

The investigation revealed that the gang, led by individuals known as Yang and Yu, infiltrated various cryptocurrency investment chat groups as 'investment masters'. Their strategy involved directing unsuspecting individuals to a fake cryptocurrency contract trading platform they created.

After the victims were drawn into the platform, scammers exploited their desire for 'quick money'. They convinced the victims to make multiple transactions and charged high fees during this process. Another manipulation tactic was to persuade the victims to increase their investments by referring to the 'profit and loss ratio'. This tactic allowed the gang to drain more funds by leading the victims to believe that their losses were due to bad market decisions rather than the fraudulent platform.

After their arrests, the suspects confessed to the charges. Since that date, the Yangpu police have placed all 16 individuals under mandatory criminal measures on suspicion of fraud. Officials stated that the case is under further investigation.
