Cryptopia, the bankrupt exchange in New Zealand, has returned approximately $225 million worth of encryption assets to users.

PANews reported on December 20th that the bankrupt encryption exchange Cryptopia in New Zealand has returned Cryptocurrency worth 400 million New Zealand dollars (about 225 million US dollars) to 10,000 verified account holders. This is the first large-scale return since the platform encountered a $15 million Hacker attack in 2019. After the liquidation team of Cryptopia reestablished the hacked exchange and verified the trading records of nearly 960,000 users, they started distributing assets such as Bitcoin and Dogecoin. In addition, the planned additional allocation will allow the 'unclaimed assets' of unregistered claimants to be used to compensate other users, potentially enabling account holders to receive up to 100% refund of their holdings.
