Before the midterm elections, Trump has accumulated $550 million in funds, aiming to defy the historical trend and maintain the Republican majority.
Deep Tide TechFlow News, April 21 — In March, U.S. President Donald Trump’s super political action committee, the Trump’s Super Political Action Committee, raised $35.6 million, bringing its campaign funds reserve to $550 million. In an increasingly difficult midterm election environment, he is trying to buck the historical tide and maintain Republican majorities in Congress. According to a disclosure filed with the Federal Election Commission by MAGA Inc., longtime Republican donor Diane Hendricks (who delivered a speech at the 2024 Republican National Convention) contributed most of the amount, donating $25 million; venture capitalists Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz each donated $3 million.
A California-based tribal organization, the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, donated $2 million. A subsidiary of GEO Group Inc., a prison operator (a federal contractor whose clients include Immigration and Customs Enforcement), donated $1 million.
At the external group level, Republicans hold a clear advantage. The House and Senate super political action committees affiliated with the Republican Party, together with Trump-affiliated groups and the MAGA Inc. super political action committee (these committees cannot coordinate directly with campaigns), had already amassed a massive $853 million in funding reserves before Monday’s filing, far exceeding the Democrats’ comparable groups.
