If you're just starting to trade on exchanges, you need to understand these basic units. I see many beginners often get confused when they see the figures on the chart.



Some common symbols are K, M, B, E, T. Specifically, 1K equals 1k, and 1M depends on the original unit, but usually 1M = 1 million. Next is 1E = 100 million, 1B = 1 billion, and 1T = 1 trillion.

When looking at volume or market cap on the exchange, you'll frequently encounter these symbols. Knowing exactly what 1M and other units represent will help you read data more quickly and avoid confusion. Whenever you see a number with a symbol after it, just multiply by the corresponding value.
