ME News update, on April 4 (UTC+8), after Anthropic announced a ban on OpenClaw, its founder Peter Steinberger urgently clarified: OpenClaw is an independently operated project and is not connected to his personal joining of OpenAI. He revealed that OpenClaw had proactively invited Anthropic and more than a dozen companies to join its nonprofit organization, but Anthropic did not respond; most of the other companies have already replied. Since Peter joined OpenAI in February, Anthropic cut off Claude’s subscription support for OpenClaw on the grounds of resource optimization. (Source: PANews)
