Abstract generation in progress

General Mills has signed a 25-year energy services agreement with Unison Energy for an on-site combined heat and power (CHP) system at its Hannibal, Missouri manufacturing plant. This partnership is projected to save General Mills over $30 million throughout the agreement’s lifecycle and reduce the facility’s total site emissions by approximately 28% annually. Unison Energy will manage the financing, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the system, which will provide a significant portion of the plant’s electricity and steam needs.
