🔥Trump Agrees to Suspend Bombing and Attacks on Iran for Two Weeks

On April 8, U.S. President Trump stated that, based on talks with Pakistani Prime Minister Sharif and Pakistani Army Marshal Asim Munir, he agreed to suspend bombing and attacks on Iran for two weeks, on the condition that Iran fully, immediately, and safely opens the Strait of Hormuz. Trump said this is a bilateral ceasefire, citing reasons including having achieved military objectives and making significant progress on a long-term peace agreement with Iran and a Middle East peace deal. Iran’s ten-point proposal is viewed as a feasible basis for negotiations, and nearly all past points of dispute between the U.S. and Iran have been agreed upon. The two weeks will be used to finalize and take effect the agreement. Trump said that, as President of the United States and a representative of Middle Eastern countries, he is honored to make progress in resolving longstanding issues.
