Trump's vulgar posts provoke mockery from Iranian embassies and consulates in multiple countries
Odaily Planet Daily News: U.S. President Donald Trump swore on social media and threatened Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz. Iran’s embassies and consulates in multiple countries posted statements to mock him.
The Iranian Embassy in India said: “Cursing and insults are the actions of children who can’t take losing. Get yourself under control, old man!”
The Iranian Embassy in Zimbabwe published a “presidential etiquette,” including “using respectful and restrained language in public remarks” and “conducting oneself with dignity, reflecting the seriousness of one’s position.”
The Iranian Embassy in the UK quoted a remark by American writer Mark Twain, saying: “Better to remain silent and let people suspect you’re a fool than to speak and remove all doubt by proving it.”
The Iranian Embassy in South Africa also urged the American public: “Tell the truth—at the very least, smart Americans should do something to uphold their own dignity.” (Jin10)
