A severe violent attack has occurred in Haiti, resulting in over 70 deaths.

A correspondent from CCTV learned on March 30 local time that over the weekend, the Jean Denis area of the Artibonite Province in Haiti suffered a serious violent attack. According to preliminary statistics, the violence has already resulted in more than 70 deaths, about 30 injuries, and another roughly 50 homes being burned down by armed gangs. Local human rights organizations say that in recent years, escalating gang violence has triggered a severe humanitarian crisis in the region. This attack has forced more than 6,000 residents to flee their homes. (CCTV News)
