AWS Greater China layoffs finalized, about 150 employees laid off
According to reports, the layoffs initiated by AWS Greater China in early February have concluded. The layoffs were primarily carried out in line with a goal of reducing costs by 20%, with some teams experiencing layoffs of about 10%, while others faced complete elimination. The total number of affected employees is estimated to be around 150. It is understood that the layoffs mainly concentrated in second-tier departments, including the product team, ecosystem division, and middle management, with employees who are older and have higher salaries being the hardest hit.
