Intellectual theft is the laziest form of clout farming
Every day I see screenshots, visuals, frameworks reposted with zero credit as if they materialised out of thin air. Someone spent hours thinking, designing, refining. Someone took the risk of publishing first. And someone else copied. Creation compounds slowly. Real insight takes time, iteration, reputation risk. Copying compounds instantly. One screenshot. No attribution. Artificial authority. Short term, the copier might win impressions. Long term, they lose trust. Reputation in this space is leverage. If you build it on borrowed work, it collapses under scrutiny. It feels good to create something that hits. To see people reference it. To know your thinking moved the needle. It feels terrible to watch it repurposed without your name attached. Crediting the original creator costs nothing. It signals confidence, integrity, and awareness of how this ecosystem actually works. We talk about decentralisation, ownership, sovereignty. Maybe start by respecting intellectual property on the timeline. If you’re building a voice here, build it on original work, or build it on respect. Anything else is just rented credibility.
